What Whites Creek Is Like

Much of the original village dates from the 1830s to the early 1900s, and the Whites Creek Historic District was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1980. Housing ranges from historic farmhouses and homes on several acres to mid-century ranches and newer subdivisions closer to Briley Parkway and I-24.

Fontanel, the former estate of Barbara Mandrell, is now a destination with an inn, restaurant, trails, an outdoor amphitheater, and a distillery. Whites Creek Pike and I-24 make the drive into downtown straightforward, so you get open space without leaving Davidson County.
