What Berry Hill Is Like

Berry Hill was incorporated in 1950 and kept its own city government after Metro Nashville formed in 1963, including its own police and public works departments. In 1970, songwriter and producer Buzz Cason turned two houses into his Creative Workshop studio, and the music industry followed. Today many of the original cottages hold studios, offices, and small businesses, with a smaller number of homes and newer residential developments mixed in.

The city sits right next to 100 Oaks, which opened as Tennessee's first enclosed shopping mall, and it is a short drive to 12 South, Melrose, and the Franklin Pike corridor. I-65 and I-440 are both close, so getting downtown or to Green Hills is quick.
